Not only do women spend up to 50 per cent of their lives in perimenopause, menopause and beyond, but they also face a shocking lack of awareness, understanding and acceptance regarding their symptoms. There are more than 30 possible symptoms, some of which are so severe that women are quitting their jobs at the peak of their professional careers.

It's time to end the stigma.

At Sinai Health, we think closing the gaps in women’s health care is long overdue. And we’re ready to dismantle the stigma around menopause to address this global equity issue.

The Weston and O’Born Centre for Mature Women’s Health at Mount Sinai Hospital is our answer to the pressing gaps that exist in research, education and care. As the most comprehensive centre of its kind in the world, it will ensure more women than ever before are heard and cared for, through all of life’s stages.
